The Longest Lesson in History
From 4 to 7 September 2026, at the Sicredi Auditorium in Três de Maio (RS, Brazil), I taught a non-stop lesson on Introduction to SQL and Databases for 82 hours and 9 minutes — beyond the previous world marks of 78h (general lesson) and 60h (IT lesson). With 74 volunteers, 76 participants and national press coverage.

Projects in production
What I build when nobody is watching the AWR.

A SQL*Plus that really answers: the record, the projects, the expertise and the contact in a single session. Made with SQL and a lot of coffee — you are in it right now.

Technical blog on Oracle Database — from performance tuning to 23ai. A reference for the Oracle community in Latin America.
An independent guide to the "Good Land that Produces": history, numbers, mayors, economy, tourism, anthem and location of Três de Maio (RS, Brazil) — the town where all of this happens.

82 hours and 9 minutes of Introduction to SQL and Databases, non-stop, in Três de Maio (Brazil). Two world marks surpassed, 74 volunteers, 76 participants — and the whole evidence file under review by Guinness World Records.

What the Longest Lesson left behind became a method: technical consulting for world record attempts — project, submission, evidence and execution under the Guinness World Records protocol. The next record is already in the oven.
A thousand people, a thousand penalty kicks, one hour: an official world record attempt that turns every goal into funding for children's sports. Project, submission and execution with technical consulting by Instituto MaisLonge.

One book a month, read together: monthly vote, weekly chapters, spoiler-free discussion and a live meetup. Free — opens in Jan 2027 with Dom Casmurro.

Sensitive data protected without touching the application: a JDBC driver and a PostgreSQL proxy that read every SQL statement — a purpose-built parser and lexical analysis cross-checking each other — and block whatever tries to take what it shouldn't. 290 guard tests.

Artificial intelligence in the service of genealogy: the natural next step after tracing the Boesing roots, now for any surname — the family tree that completes itself with a little help from the machine.

One family, many playgrounds: we visit, we play and we rate. Slide, swings, shade and a restroom nearby score points — five stars is rare, but it exists.

The Italian Cultural Association of Três de Maio and Region: filó gatherings, singing, mora and bocce, the nonnas' kitchen and the immigrants' heritage kept alive — doors open to anyone who wants in.

ACITRE's wine circle, in the tradition of the Italian families: at every meeting, four labels, a dish by a nonna and a good conversation to steer it — from the harvest to the sparkling wines of year's end.

History that connects tomorrow: a movement to make the Missões region (RS, Brazil) a territory of people, ideas and future — technology for a future that is more our own.

Cocktails with measure, method and history, since 2015: the 102 official IBA drinks, 140 original recipes and "My Bar" — what you can make with what you have.

Expertise
The structure behind 15 years of solving problems that were not supposed to happen.
| Name | Null? | Description |
|---|---|---|
| PERFORMANCE_TUNING | NOT NULL | Advanced SQL and systematic diagnosis: execution plans, optimizer behaviour, AWR, ASH, ADDM, wait events and end-to-end bottleneck analysis — database, OS, I/O and cluster. |
| HIGH_AVAILABILITY | NOT NULL | RAC, Data Guard, ASM and MAA: maximum availability architectures, Exadata X4 to X11M, multinode metropolitan clusters and failover strategies that work when they have to. |
| RELIABILITY_AND_DR | NOT NULL | 500+ production upgrades and migrations, backup and recovery with RMAN, disaster recovery plans designed and executed across multiple scenarios. Critical incident escalation. |
| DATA_PLATFORMS | NOT NULL | VLDB, OLTP, DW and hybrid environments: data integration with GoldenGate and ODI, large fleets of production databases across many industries and geographies. |
| MULTI_ENGINE_AND_CLOUD | PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Cassandra, Snowflake, Databricks, Aurora — and OCI with security and operations certifications. Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes (OKE) and Liquibase on the utility belt. | |
| MANAGEMENT_AND_LEADERSHIP | NOT NULL | Data teams run as a product: management by evidence, policy before tooling, automation first, security by default and cost as a technical requirement — RACI, a service catalogue with SLAs, OKRs, FinOps and clear team agreements for on-call, escalation and communication. Agreements are cheap; surprises are not. |
| TEACHING_AND_COMMUNITY | NOT NULL | Undergraduate and graduate professor (data, cloud, programming, high performance, architecture, management and service quality), Oracle instructor since 2018, mentor of data engineers since 2019 and keynote speaker in more than 30 countries. |
-- 7 columns; only MULTI_ENGINE_AND_CLOUD accepts NULL — the other six are mandatory.
Who I am
I started in databases at Sicredi in 2009, where I stayed for seven years, and spent eight years at Pythian — senior consultant, tech lead and team manager — running fleets of mission-critical databases for companies around the world: airlines, banks, telecom carriers, education and leading industries across many segments.
Along the way I was recognised as an Oracle ACE Director (the youngest in the world at the time; Alumni today), became an undergraduate and graduate professor, an Oracle instructor and a mentor of data engineers. Today I handle escalations as a consultant, run LogicaIT and, between one query and the next, keep the projects above alive.
Beyond the technical side, I lead data teams with method: the database treated as a product, decisions based on evidence, automation before heroics and simple agreements the team writes for itself — production first, over-communicate rather than under, nobody is left without an answer, no change without a recorded approval. Agreements are cheap; surprises are not.
I speak Portuguese, English and Spanish. And SQL, fluently.
